Sustainability Commitment
CDC NSW’s commitment to sustainability is guided by its parent company, ComfortDelGro Australia’s (CDC) social and environmental goals. As one of Australia’s leading transport providers, CDC works towards minimising impacts on the environment, ensuring road, passenger, and workplace safety, and enhancing the well-being of our people and the community.
Our vision is to ensure that we continue to take ownership of the direct impact we have on driving social and sustainable outcomes for our communities across all elements of our business – from the transport services we deliver, through to our procurement practices, recruitment strategies, technology investments and safety management program. We are committed to achieving positive environmental outcomes that go beyond compliance to minimise environmental impact and deliver positive social outcomes. This includes using our buying power to tackle social and environmental issues above and beyond the monetary value of the goods, services or infrastructure projects being procured.
Our Sustainability policy embodies four key elements:
- Lowering our carbon footprint and minimising adverse impacts on the environment and communities.
- Operating professionally and in a way that promotes a strong environmental culture through enhanced environmental work practices.
- Supporting sustainability events and revegetation activities within the community.
- Sustainable procurement practices with a focus on Aboriginal Participation.
