Ballina Region Services on Weds 12/3

All school and public route services have returned to normal operations. This includes Lismore Routes 640X and 641, which will follow the standard operating routes without diversion.

Thank you for your understanding during this extreme weather event.

All school and public route services will return to normal from tomorrow with the exception of Lismore Routes 640X and 641X, which have the following diversions:

  • Route 640X and 641X will operate on Wed 12 Mar.
  • The service will not service Bex Hill and Clunes.
  • The service will travel along the M1 to Bangalow.

NSW Mid North Coast: (Coffs Harbour, Sawtell, Woolgoolga) effective from Tuesday 11 March 2025

  • All school, public route and Woopi Connect On Demand services in the Mid North Coast region will operate as normal from tomorrow (Tues 11 Mar).

NSW Far North Coast: (Ballina, Byron Bay, Billinudgel) services on Tuesday 11 March 2025

All scheduled school and routes service will operate as normal on the Far North Coast tomorrow, with the exception of the following services:

Areas that will not operate:

  • The Pocket School
  • Piccadilly Hill Road
  • Route 640X and 641X to Lismore will not operate due to road flooding.

NSW Far North Coast: (Ballina, Byron Bay, Billinudgel) – Monday 10 March 2025
– All school bus services are suspended on Mon 10/3.
– All public route services will operate to a standard weekday timetable with the exception of Route 641X to Lismore, which is cancelled.*

*The public services resuming remain subject to future closed or flooded road notifications. CDC NSW Far North Coast depots will now be open during standard operating hours.

As at 5:30PM (AEDT) on Sunday 9 March 2025 there are no known closed or flooded roads on our network.

We will provide further updates if anything changes. Up-to-date information will also be published on our CDC NSW Facebook page.

Important message to customers in NSW Far North Coast (Ballina region), and Mid
North Coast (Coffs Harbour region).

NSW Far North Coast: (Ballina, Byron Bay, Billinudgel)
– All school services are suspended Thu 6/3 and Fri 7/3
– All public route services are cancelled Thu 6/3 to Sun 9/3 inclusive.
– All Far North Coast bus depots will be closed during this time.

NSW Mid North Coast: (Coffs Harbour, Sawtell, Woolgoolga)
– All school services are suspended Thu 6/3 and Fri 7/3
– All Forest Coach Lines/CDC NSW public route services are cancelled Thu 6/3 to Sun 9/3 inclusive.
– All Woopi Connect On Demand Services are cancelled Thu 6/3 to Sun 9/3 inclusive.
– All Mid North Coast bus depots will be closed during this time.

The situation will be closely monitored over the coming days and any new advice if
applicable will be updated via this website page and on our Facebook pages.

Please stay safe and importantly if its flooded forget it – do not attempt to cross
flooded roadways under any circumstances!
