Multi-modal transport operator ComfortDelGro Australia (CDC) has secured four new seven-year contracts covering nine routes across Victoria, regional NSW and Canberra, supporting more reliable and accessible transport for communities.

These contracts form part of an uplift to NSW TrainLink coach services announced by the NSW Government in May. Commencing on 1 July, CDC, alongside other operators, will run services across the NSW TrainLink coach network, helping to deliver improved regional public transport links.

CDC’s Victorian business, CDC Victoria will operate one of the new contracts, covering one route with four services, strengthening connections between Broken Hill, Mildura, and surrounding regional communities. Operating between Broken Hill and Mildura, these services will run twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays from commencement, as part of the new seven-year contract.

The services will provide a reliable and convenient connection between Broken Hill and Mildura. Morning departures will start from the Broken Hill Town Coach Stop and travel through key locations including Mildura Airport, the shopping centre, the hospital, and continue through to the Mildura Railway Station. This route ensures access to major transport hubs, retail precincts, and essential services along the way.

In the late afternoon, return services will commence from the Mildura Railway Station and follow the same route in reverse, stopping at the hospital, shopping centre, and Mildura Airport before arriving back at the Broken Hill Town Coach Stop.

CDC’s regional NSW operations, through CDC NSW and CDC Canberra, will operate the other three contracts covering eight routes in regional NSW across the Far North Coast, North West Slopes and Southern NSW, including key corridors such as Tweed Heads to Casino, Ballina and Moree to Grafton, Queanbeyan and Young to Yass, Goulburn and Jindabyne to Canberra as well as Narrabri, Burren Junction and Wee Waa.

Service frequency varies across the network, with some operating daily and others multiple times per week. To support these contracts, CDC has introduced six wheelchair accessible hybrid coaches and will also operate an electric bus out of Narrabri, supporting more sustainable transport outcomes.

CDC Victoria Chief Executive Officer Jeff Wilson said:

“Connecting people, places and communities is what we do, and these services will help more people get to where they need to go. Regional communities in Broken Hill, Mildura and surrounds will benefit from smoother, more reliable public transport.”

CDC Australia Regional Australia Division Chief Executive Officer Tony Hopkins said:

“We are proud to be part of the next generation of NSW TrainLink coach services, an important network which will help to enhance regional connectivity across Australia. Together, these services play a vital role in connecting people to healthcare, education, employment and community networks.”

From 1 July 2026, the upgraded NSW TrainLink network will deliver improved travel times and modern, accessible coaches designed to provide safer and more comfortable journeys.

NSW TrainLink provides public transport services across regional NSW and into Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and the Australian Capital Territory.
